A tired, dreary space was the starting point for this stylish and luxurious creation from Nouvelle. When the owners of this Manly, Sydney home enlisted the help of designer Geoff Little, they were desperate to give their dark and uninviting bathroom a much-needed makeover. With a built-in bath, plain tiles, very little natural lighting and an entry door which opened against the shower, the original bathroom presented a number of challenges.
The owners wanted their new space to offer everyday luxury and be somewhere they could retreat to at the end of a long day. It was also important that the bathroom was fun and practical for the entire family.
Geoff set about designing a bathroom that included everything on the owners’ wish list, and the new space is now a far cry from the original. The first thing that catches your eye as you enter the bathroom is the feature wall with its gorgeous Bisazza Italian glass tiles. Combined with LED downlights and more natural light, this creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The Laufen Palomba wall basin adds a unique touch of elegance, while the custom-made vanity unit is the perfect mix of style and practicality. For added luxury, the heated floor and heated towel rail make trips to the bathroom on a freezing winter’s morning a much more attractive prospect.
And, when the owners are looking for a peaceful retreat where they can relax in comfort, the freestanding bath from Bette is ideal for a long, languorous bubble bath. It’s the ultimate luxurious touch for one very impressive bathroom.
